INSTALLING AIRCRAFT TIRES AND TUBES

A red dot on the tire identifies the light side of the tire.

A yellow dot or line on the tube identifies the heavy side of the tube.

Install the tube in the tire and align these two marks.

If no mark is found on the tube, the valve stem is used to align
with the red dot on the tire.

This will ensure that the tire and tube balance will be as close as possible before using the tire balancer and adding the necessary weight on the exterior of the wheel.
